It is an unforgettable experience: the pleasure of walking when the darkness of the night gives way to the first glows of light that precede the rising of the sun, when the dim light becomes more and more intense showing unusual colors that change by the minute, and when finally the explosion of light of the sun that appears on the horizon shows all its beneficial glory.

The Ferriere Valley
Behind Amalfi, in the territory of the municipality of Scala, is the most fascinating and well-known valley of the peninsula: Valle delle Ferriere. Known for its waterfalls and ancient ferns, the valley once hosted an ironworks and several lucrative paper factories powered by water. The damp, green, secluded protected area of the nature reserve is home to ancient species of ferns and include the woodwardia radicans. A unique environment and that is not to be missed. This is a circular tour starting from the hamlet of Pontone and it combines the upper and lower section of the valley.

Path of the Gods
You need good shoes and a head for heights to walk the legendary Path of the Gods, which offers dizzying sea views all the way to the point of the peninsula and beyond. The mythical Sentiero degli Dei is by far the best-known walk on the Amalfi Coast. The name is no misnomer, the views are divine. Making a spectacular traverse high above the Mediterranean with heavenly views over terraced fields and hazy mountains, the scenery is a typical Amalfi imitation of dramatic natural landscapes modified by generations of human settlers. This is an amazing circular hike beginning and ending at Bomerano.

Santa Maria dei Monti
This is also a popular walk due to the variety of the territory it offers and the glorious outlook across the peaks and valleys and to the sea. The large plateau on the top shows the different aspect of this part of the Lattari mountains from the rugged cliffs that characterize the coast near the sea. Here the ridges disappear almost completely to give space to a gentler landscape, undulating hills, less pronounced slopes. This is the heart of the Lattari Mountains, where the richness of the vegetation and the industriousness of the inhabitants allowed such a profitable pasture to justify the name Lattari (Milky). A circular walk that takes you up to over 1,000mt.

Naples, Walking Tour
"... Naples is the most mysterious city in Europe, it is the only city in the ancient world that has not perished like Ilium, like Nineveh, like Babylon. It is the only city in Europe that has not sunk in the immense shipwreck of the ancient civilization. Naples is a Pompeii that has never been buried. It is not a city: it is a world. The ancient, pre-Christian world, remained intact on the surface of the modern world. Naples is the other Europe. " C. Malaparte
Naples is the capital of the Campania region which itself is, in many ways, the most hauntingly beautiful region of Italy, sociologically different from anywhere else in Europe. The region is definitely endowed with what might well be the densest collection of ancient ruins in Europe, with very distinctive geological sites, special landscapes and unique seascapes. Naples is the condenced face and soul of this whole territory and no place is quite like it.
The pulsating centre of Naples is the area around 'Spaccanapoli' and the Via Toledo. The city’s seaside highway is one of the most scenic in the world but also probably the most treacherous. It combines mending hairpin bends and 'reckless' Neapolitan drivers.
Naples's most precious relic is the glass ampoule containing the blood of San Gennaro, the city's patron saint, his imposing cathedral is rich in artifacts and worth a visit, but Naples is home to many more ancient churches and fascinating monuments including the 13th century Castel Nuovo, the New Castle (House of Anjou), the Archeological Museum, one of Europe’s greatest museum, the San Carlo theater, one of Europe’s grandest opera house, just to name a few. Unmissable place!

Hike & Relax on the Amalfi Coast
What can be more beautiful than enjoying time relaxing in a spa or a Roman bath after a challenging walk? As for the good examples at Pompeii, Roman baths were part of the day-to-day life in Ancient Rome. There people could relax, keep clean and keep up with the latest news. A visitor could use a cold bath (the frigidarium), a warm bath (the tepidarium) and a hot bath (the caldarium).
Take the unique opportunity to live this region’s ancient history and after a formidable walk of the area, enjoy a few hours in a relaxed, organized environment.
Beware, you may become hooked!

This circular trail starts from the hamlet of Montepertuso in Positano to reach the pretty fraction of S. Maria del Castello at 670m in Vico Equenze. Herculaneum
Herculaneum is completely different from Pompeii, it is only 15 acres. It was destroyed by pyroclastic flows, rather than pumice and lava therefore was not crushed down by the weight of the debris and was a Roman holiday town rather than a busy, important town. The difference is quite amazing! The mud has preserved mosaics, the wooden beams that divided the lower and upper floors of the houses and shops, and the frescos on the walls of the gymnasiums and sauna baths.
A missed visit to Herclaneum is a real pity!

Capri, Ischia and Procida
Out to sea, the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida are between them, the best-known group of Italian islands. Each is distinctly different from the others.
Capri is a place of legend, a playground of the super rich, and today the principal destination of day-trippers from the mainland.
Steep cliffs, amazing views, elegant villas, Capri is the most loved island by the elegant plus cosmopolitan public. It is about 17 miles from Naples and less than 35 miles from Punta Campinella the point of the Sorrento peninsula. Some history, but its most successful period was that of the Roman emperors, Augustus and Tiberius, who built sumptuous villas and baths here.
The island is surrounded by a deep sea due to the fracture that separated it, millions of years ago, from the peninsula of Sorrento. This is testified by the flora plus the calcareous rock that populated the continental Monti Lattari. There are two towns Capri and Anacapri and several hamlets. Towards the end of the 19th century the poet Kopisch and the fabulist Andersen gave loving description of Capri’s beauties. From that very moment the island began to attract all different type of tourist: Kings, archaeologist, writers, Zar Nicholas II, Emperor Francis Joseph, Queen Victoria of Sweden, Graham Green, Grace Fields, Axel Munthe.
For many Capri’s most famous sight is the Blue Grotto. It is 6Km long and 3Km wide and offers an incredible blue refraction experience. For other hiking and wander to more concealed places is a more fulfilling way to visit the island.
From its highest peak, Monte Solaro, 589 m. it is possible to enjoy a 360° view of the island.
The garden of Villa San Michele in Anacapri was awarded as one of the most beautiful parks in Italy. While from the Augustus's Gardens in Capri you can enjoy the best view over the historic hairpin turns of Via Krupp and the Faraglioni Rocks.
Events that take place on the island include the Patron Saints feasts in Capri S. Costanzo on 14th May and in Anacapri S. Antonio on 13th June. The Sunset Concerts take place at the Villa S. Michele in August.
Ferragosto feast, at the Marina Grande, music and food stands.
Settembrata Anacaprese, a cultural and gastronomic festival. Yet more entertainment is provided, numerous cultural events including jazz, classical and pop music concerts.
